I started this web page in 2001 as a project for a course in Phycology, taught by Dr. Michael Gretz, at Michigan Technological University.  Since then I have continued to expand and develop it with his assistance and generosity.  Enjoy the images and videos (require DivX codec) but note that I may not have identified all specimens correctly, especially when identified to species.  Questions, comments, and corrections are highly welcomed (jkoyadom@mtu.edu).  I thank Phycology students over the years for their assistance with sample collection, and all of you who have submitted corrections and comments.
